It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed principal of Goshen Elementary. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of excellence! I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than fourteen years. My most recent administrative experience was in Jefferson County where I served as a principal. I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to Goshen Elementary School and work with you as a partner in education to ensure every child’s success.
Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success that has been established, by building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners. We will focus on innovative education systems, movement based teaching strategies, and consistent implementation of the curriculum in a manner that empowers every child to fall in love with learning to increase all of the students' achievement.
On a personal note, I’ve been married to my wife Dr. Kim Carpenter for nearly 13 years. We have two amazing children, Michael and Kate, who are going into 5th and 3rd grades. You will often see us out on hikes with our dog Marley.
I am eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever. Thank you for the opportunity to serve the children, families and staff of this amazing community. I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Goshen Elementary meet their goals and have a successful school year!
